What is unserious wedding photography?
Wild.
Soft.
Cheeky.
Heartfelt.
Silly.
Elegant.
Loud.
Tender.
Dreamy.
Romantic.
Playful.
Intimate.
Irreverent.
Fun.
No two weddings look the same, and no two moments in the day do either. Your photos shouldn't be locked into just one vibe.
Your portraits could be raucous and ridiculous, but your ceremony might be heartfelt and intimate. You might have loud and hilarious speeches, but a quiet and romantic first dance.
I’ll be there for all of it, shooting in a way that matches the mood to give you a record of how it really felt.
“HEATHER! These pictures you have sent are AMAZING. (You made Rosie cry)
We are so happy we chose you for our special day!!
Thankyou again!!”

There’s only so much I can capture as one person. If you want another angle or preparations captured at two locations, add on a second shooter. I’ll bring someone I trust that has a similar style of photography.

Videography
Bring your memories to life with a wedding documentary video, filmed by Stephen of Torque.Films.
He captures the good, the bad, and the f*cking hilarious, not just 5 minutes of footage stretched out to 10 minutes of slo-mo.
Plus, we’re married, so we work pretty well together.

Manchester based, available worldwide.
Travel is included throughout Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Cheshire. Outside of these counties there will be mileage and (possibly) accommodation costs. Don’t worry, I’m happy with a Travelodge.
-
A non-refundable deposit of £350 is needed to confirm your date. The rest is due 1 month before your wedding.
However, if you want to pay early or in instalments, just let me know.
-
First, hit that ‘Check your date’ button and send me a message - I’ll always get back to you within 48 hours. Next is the Google Meet Vibe Check™ to talk plans.
Still like me? I’ll send you a booking form to generate your contract and an invoice for the deposit. One you’re paid and signed, you’re all booked in.
-
All photos are delivered via an online gallery, where you can download your photos and share them with family and friends.
Sneak peeks (~20 photos) are available within 48 hours of the wedding, and the rest will arrive 8-12 weeks later. Weddings outside of peak season will be delivered faster.
-
Of course! I’m mostly here for the candid chaos and unhinged portraits, but I’ll make sure Granny gets her mantelpiece photo.
However, I advise keeping these shots to a minimum. You will get photo fatigue. I recommend a maximum of 8 ‘must haves’ and then we can play it by ear for the rest.
(Wild wedding party photos are the exception, they’re my favourites!)
-
‘Portraits’ sound stiff and boring, but I promise it won’t be.
We’ll disappear for 20 minutes to get banging photos of you and your new spouse. The more fun we can have, the better. I’ll go with your vibe.
Got a silly idea or want to plan some shots? I’m in.
If we get a spectacular sunset, I might steal you later on in the day too, but not at the expense of the party.
-
Absolutely. I play nicely with others.
That being said, I’d rather you booked Torque Films. He’s the best. That’s why I married him.
-
Of course. We’ve all got a different job to do. I’d still prefer it if you booked Torque Films instead though.
-
Me too, hun.
99% of my couples say this, but my photos speak for themselves.
I’ll never make you do anything that feels truly uncomfortable, but I’ll prompt and guide along the way to make sure you look amazing.
I love keeping portrait sessions playful - the more fun you have, the better your photos.
-
You are not made of sugar.
-
No.
I’ll capture important details if you want (clothes, decorations, flowers) but I’d rather spend the time photographing people. They’re the ones you’ll want to look back on.
-
More than people.
FAQs
“The best of the best... as two people who always dislike pictures of themselves, we knew finding a photographer would be difficult - this was absolutely not the case. Heather agreed with genuine excitement about all our plans and just 100% got the vision. On the day she blended in as one of our guests, and it was evident from our sneak peek photos that she'd captured moments we hadn't even noticed at the time. We cannot thank her enough for the memories she's captured - we will cherish them forever.”
“Photographers can often be arseholes, but [Heather was] great. [She] fit in well with the rest of the barmpots.”
Who even is she?

My photography career started out in the sports industry, and I decided that if I could shoot bikes at 40mph I could probably handle a wedding.
In a former life I was a science teacher. This has given me a number of transferrable skills, as wrangling teenagers is the same as wrangling drunk uncles.
I want to be the antidote to boring, stuffy and beige wedding photography. I’ll make sure your important memories are beautifully preserved, but bring plenty of fun and colour along the way.
