Unserious

registry office photography.

An alternative couple in a dive bar drinking from Sports Direct mugs in Junior Jacksons Manchester. The bride is in a mini dress and dr martens boots.

Twelve minutes.
Still a big deal.

No seating plan, no first dance, no seventeen bridesmaids. Just you, some nervous laughing, a stranger in a lanyard telling you you're officially married, and then straight to the pub.

Registry office weddings move fast. I move faster. Short ceremony, big feelings, someone else's wedding party walking past yours on the way out. I'll catch all of it, and none of it will look like it was taken in a council building.

You didn't want the marquee, the string quartet or the eighteen-month engagement. You wanted it done properly and quickly, with people you love. Your photos should match that energy.

All the photos on this page were taken at registry offices or during a short coverage package. See what’s really possible.

I’m a motorbike-riding, trail-running, dog-loving, adventure-seeking, vintage-wearing elder emo living in the Pennines with my videographer husband, two dogs and two cats.

My photography career started out in the sports industry, and I decided that if I could shoot bikes at 40mph I could probably handle a wedding.

In a former life I was a science teacher. This has given me a number of transferrable skills, as wrangling teenagers is the same as wrangling drunk uncles.

I want to be the antidote to boring, stuffy and beige wedding photography. I’ll make sure your important memories are beautifully preserved, but bring plenty of fun and colour along the way.
